JOE BASILE
JOE BASILE is a guy from New Jersey.
Joe's love affair with film began in 1976 when, as a kid, he sat in the Middletown UA Theater and was captivated by the movie ROCKY. It was a defining moment in his life. He suddenly knew what he wanted to do. After graduating University of Delaware, Joe relocated to Hollywood.
Inspired by the likes of Ridley Scott and Sylvester Stallone he left New Jersey for Hollywood. But like your first love, Jersey never leaves you: the sense of pride, the connection to your roots.
Joe's had an interesting journey in the entertainment industry. He's been in front of the camera, behind the camera, set on fire, and received his MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA's prestigious film school. He's had the privilege of working with Warren Beatty, Katherine Hepburn, and Mike Nichols - to name a few.
To date Joe has been cast in over twenty-five television shows (CRIMINAL MINDS, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, ER, WITHOUT A TRACE, 6 FEET UNDER, SEINFELD, and CSI to name a few) and fifteen movies (8 HEADS IN A DUFFLE BAG, GIA, PAPARAZZI, and THAT THING YOU DO).
Working both behind and in front of the camera was a valuable lesson in movie making for Joe. He has seen the collaboration it takes to get a movie made.
That movie is WEST END.
Most recently, the WEST END teaser won its category at the GARDEN STATE FILM FESTIVAL.
